US Economic Attaché to Sana'a visits the Center and meets its researchers

US Economic Attache to Sana'a Michael Boven along with Assistant to Economic Attache at the US Embassy Jameel Esmail visited Sheba Center for Strategic Studies today Monday, December 5, 2011. They were given an idea about the research programs and activities conducted by the Center.

 Mr Boven met the researchers at the Center and discussed a range of economic issues and problems facing Yemen, particularly in the current transition period. He and the researchers held extensive discussions about the most pressing economic priorities, and they exchanged views regarding the ways in which the current situation could be handled as well as the role to be played in this respect by international actors, particularly the USA.

At the end of the meeting, Mr Boven hoped that the Center would help project clear and definite visions and strategies that could contribute to Yemeni policymakers' efforts in order to overcome the effects and consequences of the ongoing crisis in Yemen, particularly in economic and development areas.
